This week in art we made dream time drawings. Dream time is an aboriginal art form where you draw a story to depict a life event. The dots on my drawing represent time passing. This art makes me feel like I am on a journey because the picture of a life journey.

This art project is of a landscape behind Mt Si High School. I used emphasis with darker colors and depth to make it better. It's not imcomplete as it may appear. There are areas of white that I left blank for a reason. There were many clouds in the sky. This art makes me feel at peace because it is a peaceful setting. This week in art we worked on pen and ink drawings. We used hatching, cross hatching, and stippling to create our art. I used line value and space to make my art more realistic. The farther apart the lines, the lighter the area and vise verse. The emotion I feel from this art is fear. This week in art we made self portraits. I had trouble at first learning about how to draw the face but I eventually figured it out. We used water color to paint our drawings. I used a complementary color for my background to make the fade pop. This art makes me feel like myself because it is a picture of myself. This week in art we drew water color leaves. We started by using a layer of yellow then coloring in the actual colors. We added back grounds by using complementary colors. The details on the leaves are replications of the real things. This art makes me good because I like the autumn season. This week in class we drew one point perspective hallway drawings. I used depth to put perspective the art. I started with drawing a rectangle and then I put a vanishing point and drew every line towards the vanishing point. Also I used value to add depth to the lines. This art makes me feel nothing because it's just a picture of a hallway. This project we used vanishing points and orthogonal lines to create one point perspective drawings. At first I didn't know what shapes to draw. Then I decided to make random polygons and connect the lines. To make certain lines pop out, I added value to lines. This art makes me feel diverse and creative. This is my parallel lines drawing. It has three total layers. I used the art element of value in my lines to make them pop and fade out. This project helped me learn how use line value and how to create space. When I was making my art I had a hard time adding value to my lines but as I kept doing it I got better. Every line drawn has another line that is parallel to it. This is a photo of my spiral squares project that I completed on Thursday. My group each had their own project but at the end we combined all of ours. We made it by drawing a square and putting four dots an equal distance away, connected the dots and kept repeating the process. We used art elements such as line and value. I used straight lines and to add value is made some lines light and some darker. The dark lines help it pop out so you can see the image with a different perspective. I included pattern in this piece and it added to the flow of the picture. When I see this art, it makes me feel stressed because there seems to be a lot going on. |
